Le Corbusier - Icon of Modernism
Le Corbusier born today in 1887 was a Swiss-French architect, designer, painter, urban planner, writer, and one of the pioneers of modern architecture.
Le Corbusier prepared the master plan for the city of Chandigarh in India, and contributed specific designs for several buildings there.
My art exhibition sponsored by Punjab University was held in one of the fascinating buildings designed by Le Corbusier. A gangway over a water body was the entrance to the galleries. The show closed everyday before sunset as the series of large halls were sans artificial lighting, illumination from the large skylights being sufficient. Indeed a great experience.

wimbledon 2016 great womens final!
Congratulations to Serena - 22 grand slam wins!
what a super match
As the commentator said somewhere through the first set "the only way Serena is going to lose is Serena herself"
save for very brief lapses like when early on in the first set she had 3 breakpoints against Kerber's serve but she belted out unforced errors, Serena was unstoppable
but Kerber was pretty tenacious too, engaging Serena in some amazing rallies, much like the Federer-Nadal rallies!
Wimbledon 2016 and Federer
4 unforced errors in a row=service game lost=one set lost
2 double faults=another service game lost=another set lost
thats all that took for Federer to lose the semi-final at Wimbledon in an otherwise sterling performance.
However the big serving and consistent Raonic deserved the win
Though both Federer & Djokovic dont figure in the final, surely Raonic & Murray will give the viewers an entertaining final
